En voz pasiva, se usa sujeto + will be + participio pasado. El verbo to be toma la forma will be (o, con menos frecuencia, shall be).

  • I shall go for a walk tomorrow. — Mañana iré a pasear.
  • My husband will buy this ring for me. — Mi esposo me comprará este anillo.
  • We will find your key tomorrow. — Encontraremos tu llave mañana.
  • The project will be presented next week. — El proyecto se presentará la próxima semana.

Contracciones afirmativas

Will y shall pueden contraerse como 'll. En la práctica, 'll suele representar will; con I y we, también puede representar shall cuando este se usa.

  • I'll go to the cinema next week. — Iré al cine la próxima semana.
  • He'll fly to Paris next winter. — Volará a París el próximo invierno.

Negación

La forma negativa se construye colocando not después de will o shall: sujeto + auxiliar + not + verbo en forma base.

  • I will not go for a walk tomorrow. — No iré a pasear mañana.
  • My husband will not buy this ring for me. — Mi esposo no me comprará este anillo.
  • We will not find your key tomorrow. — No encontraremos tu llave mañana.
  • The project will not be presented next week.

  • She won't go to the cinema. — No irá al cine.
  • I shan't work there. — No trabajaré allí.

Pregunta

  • Will I go for a walk tomorrow? — ¿Iré a pasear mañana?
  • Will my husband buy this ring for me? — ¿Mi esposo me comprará este anillo?
  • Will we find your key tomorrow? — ¿Encontraremos tu llave mañana?
  • Will the project be presented next week?

  • Where will I go tomorrow? — ¿Adónde iré mañana?
  • What will my husband buy for me? — ¿Qué me comprará mi esposo?
  • When will we find your key? — ¿Cuándo encontraremos tu llave?
  • Why will the project be presented next week?

  • Pronto — soon
  • Tan pronto como — as soon as
  • Más tarde — later
