Future in the Past

Употребление

Future in the past употребляется, когда мы говорим о действии, которое являлось будущим для определенного момента в прошлом.


Future in the Past чаще всего употребляется после слов said (that), told (that), thought (that). В основном, когда вы передаете свои или чужие мысли, слова. В таких случаях Future in the Past является заменой Future Simple:

They will go to France -> I thought they would go to France.
Они поедут во Францию. -> Я думал, что они поедут во Францию.

Чтобы составить утвердительное предложение в Future in the past, необходимо:

1. На первое место поставить I/we/you/they/he/she/it или существительное в единственном или во множественном числе;
2. Добавить would или сокращенную форму 'd;
3. Глагол;
4. Остальные слова.
